Teen Counselling in
Noosa Heads
Supporting teens and young adults navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, confidence, relationships, identity, and life transitions.
Many young people experience anxiety, self-doubt, overwhelm, friendship struggles, school pressure, and uncertainty about who they are or where they fit.
But young people are not limited by age when it comes to life’s challenges.
Young people, too, experience grief, loss, sickness, family change, separation, transitions, heartbreak, loneliness, uncertainty, and the complexities of being human.
In many ways, the struggles are much the same as adulthood — simply experienced within a different stage of life and often with fewer resources, less life experience, and less understanding of what is happening internally.
The truth is, young people often carry far more than we realise.
And sometimes, having someone safe to speak to can make all the difference.

A SAFE SPACE TO UNDERSTAND YOURSELF
My Approach
I often think — my goodness, I wish I had counselling as a teenager.
Someone safe to talk to.
Someone outside of family and friendships who could help me make sense of what I was feeling, understand myself more deeply, and remind me that what I was experiencing made sense.
Because what young people feel is not “too much.”
It makes sense.
The goal of counselling is not to “fix” emotions or change who we are.
It is to gently understand ourselves.
To learn that emotions are not something to fear, but something to listen to.
To understand that confidence is not perfection — confidence is authenticity. It is learning who we are, trusting ourselves, and feeling safe enough to be ourselves.
The earlier we learn self-trust, emotional understanding, healthy boundaries, and self-belief, the more equipped we are to make healthy choices — choices that come from the calmest and truest parts of ourselves.
The earlier we learn that support exists, the easier it becomes to ask for help when we need it.
And when a young person experiences a safe, reliable therapeutic relationship, it often becomes a model for the kinds of relationships they learn to seek and cultivate in life.
Because alongside struggles and challenges, there are always strengths.
There is always something working.
And together, we build from there.
WAYS WE CAN WORK TOGETHER
Offerings
IN PERSON & ONLINE SUPPORT
Teen & Young Adult Counselling
I offer counselling for teens and young adults in Noosa Heads, available both in person and online via Zoom.
Sessions are private, warm, supportive, and tailored to the individual — creating a space where young people can feel safe to talk, reflect, process emotions, and better understand themselves.
Whether you are a parent seeking support for your teen, or a young person reaching out yourself, you are warmly welcome to connect
SMALL GROUP SUPPORT
Teen Wellbeing Groups (Ages 14–18)
For teens who may feel intimidated by one-on-one counselling, or who feel more comfortable beginning in a shared environment, I also run small-group wellbeing programs for ages 14–18.
Groups are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of six participants, to support emotional safety, connection, and meaningful participation.
Together we explore confidence, emotional wellbeing, friendships, boundaries, identity, self-understanding, and practical tools for navigating life.
Programs include guided discussion, reflection, journaling, movement, and nervous system support tools in a calm and supportive environment.
SUPPORT ACROSS DIFFERENT LIFE STAGES
Younger Children
I also support younger children using play-based therapy approaches where appropriate.
Children experience emotions deeply too — including anxiety, overwhelm, friendship struggles, grief, separation, change, and emotional uncertainty.
For younger children, play can become a gentle and developmentally appropriate way to explore emotions, build confidence, and support emotional wellbeing in a way that feels safe and natural to them.
Noosa Heads Counselling Costs:
Individual Sessions: 60 minutes – $120
Extended Sessions: 90 minutes – $150
A three-session bundle is available for those who would like to begin with a short-term commitment. Please enquire for details.
Neurodivergent-Affirming & NDIS Support
I also support NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants.
With over 7 years’ experience as a support worker, I bring a grounded understanding of neurodivergence, emotional regulation, and the complexities individuals and families can navigate. I have supported people with autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome, as well as within aged care settings, and offer a space where you can feel safe, seen, and not needing to mask.
This experience informs my counselling work more broadly, particularly when supporting clients navigating relationships, family dynamics, and life transitions.
Sessions may support emotional regulation, anxiety and overwhelm, self-understanding, relationships, and gently building confidence and independence.
A receipt is provided after sessions for reimbursement.
